Who are we?
This site has been written and put up by Peter Theobald, a chartered accountant running a software marketing company in Bombay. He was helped in the initial design by Rambha Mitra - Thanks Rambha. Peter's life (and that of his family) has been transformed by coming into contact with some extraordinary knowledge. This knowledge has the capability to make you free - truly free from all the things that much of the world is a slave to -- for example, disease, medicine, doctors, addictions etc. We are very excited with our findings and would like to share this information with all of you, in the hope that you would join us.
Why are we here?
All of us have been through ill health and pain and suffering, and now with God's grace, have been shown a way out of it. We are now enjoying superb physical health, and are making progress on the mental, emotional and spiritual fronts. We now see that all of this ill health is really unnecessary. It is to not inevitable. There is a way out of this, permanently. And we are lucky enough to have found it. But all around us, we see people still struggling and still suffering. Many of these are our near and dear ones. We would like to help all of these people to help themselves. In fact, we have got so much benefit from the things we have learned that we feel duty bound to share it with the rest of the world so that they can also benefit.
The way to good health is quite simple. Most of it is commonsense. Most of it we know already, or at least knew at some time. But because of the massive amounts of misinformation coming in from all sides, coming from those who have vested interests in keeping us away from the path, we get confused. Since many of these people are responsible, professional, senior members of society with the full weight of formal education and authority behind them, we find it very difficult to go against them -especially since almost the whole world is with them. But still if we want to be truly free we have to go beyond this and enquire into these issues with an open mind. We have therefore presented for your consideration a lot of new information in the area of holistic health and well-being - physical, mental and spiritual. All we ask is you go through it, try it out for yourself and then decide whether it is right for you or not.
What is a nature of our relationship?
We do not think of ourselves as teachers or gurus. We are merely co-travellers with all of you on the journey of life. In the matter of health and well-being, we have perhaps got on the train ahead of you, and therefore would like to share with you the information about the sights, sounds and smells that we have already seen. We have got a real benefit, rather got our lives transformed by what we have learnt and offer the same to you as a suggestion to try out.
Yog (pronounced Yo-g i.e. rhymes with Vogue) is something different from what is popularly understood. It is not just a series of acrobatic exercises (wrongly called yoga) but rather a way of life that aims at union between the individual soul (jivaatma) with a universal soul (paramatma). Its objective is moksha or liberation of the soul from the bondage of birth and rebirth, in this life itself. Indeed the word Yog actually means union, coming from the root verb yuj in Sanskrit which means "to yoke".
Health Naturally therefore aims to enable you to transform your life at the body, mind and soul level. It shares with you all the information and resources required to lead a life of holistic well-being.
How is this done? Is there some magic box, medicine, machine or mantra? Poof ... Caterpillar changes to butterfly! Unfortunately not. In the business of transformation, there are no shortcuts. And transformation can only be achieved by adopting and internalising a particular way of life. More specifically, we will be talking about 3 specific areas of chrysalis yog or transformation yog. Anna Yog (natural hygiene), Hatha yog (yog of the body), and Swadarshan Yog (Discovery of the Real Self)
Anna Yog is the yog of nourishment. Anna or Annam in Sanskrit that which eaten, that which nourishes us. It need not be just food but also all the other things that we take into our body and mind. The quality of this nourishment is paramount importance because this is what makes us what we are. Our body, though not all-important, is still very important. It is the vehicle that we have to use to transport ourselves through our lives to achieve our goals. It is only one we will ever have in this life and so it is vitally important to keep it strong, fit and healthy by taking care of it properly and meeting its needs. The same things hold true for our minds and we have to take equal care what thoughts and emotions go into it.
Anna yog or natural hygiene can thus be said to be the science of nourishment for true health. It is the most rational, scientific and practical way of achieving lifelong good health and are guaranteed disease free life. It tells us that we are responsible for the condition we are in and that we have to take responsibility for restoring ourselves to health - by going back to the natural way of life in all its aspects.
Hatha yog, or yog of the body, is the stepping stone to the much larger and grander science of Raj yog or yog of the mind. It is the science of keeping the body in prime working condition by the use of cleansing practices, postures and breathing exercises.
It is very important to understand that hatha yog is the means to an end and not the end in itself. The exercises prescribed are not for their own sake but to make the body fit and strong to withstand the rigours of the deeper states of meditation. But you cannot skip it and go directly to Raj yog or yog of the mind. A weak body troubled by diseases will make distract you and make it impossible to focus on higher objectives. You will all the time be worried about your health. So hatha yoga aims to free you from the problems of the body so you can turn your attention to loftier goals.
Swadarshan Yog or Discovery of the Real Self is a very important part of Raj yog. Most of us go through our lives without finding out the answers to the three basic existential questions of life.
Who and I? Why am I here? What is the nature of my relationships?
Who am I is a very deep question. Am I the body, am I the mind, or something beyond? What are my qualities and resources? Am I an actor, a sportsman, a traveller, a businessman, or all of these and more? Whatever we want to achieve in life, the self is the primary resource. Based on the quality of the self, we can get the secondary resources like money, other people, things etc. which will help us to achieve our goals. But if we don't know ourselves, don't know our qualities and resources, we cannot even begin.
Why am I here is a question about our life's objective or goal. What is the purpose of my life? Unless I know the answer to this I cannot begin working towards it either.
What is the nature of my relationships tells me how I should interact with all the people and things that I come into contact with every moment of our life. This influences the quality and richness and often the result of the interactions. If I don't know the nature of the relationship, I might not act in the appropriate way and lose out or miss out on so many things and never achieve the full potential than an capable of.
Unfortunately many people go through lives without knowing the answers to any of these questions. It is no wonder that they are not happy despite having achieved material success.
Swadarshan Yog is a process developed by Mr. Ganpati Date, founder of the Network of Well-being, that enables you to find out for yourself what are the answers to these questions. Network runs a core 5 day program, "Discovery of the Real Self", besides week and programs, newsletters etc.

Everything on this site is based on our direct personal experience and not hearsay or what we have read in books. We have personally tried out and benefited from whatever we are suggesting. We're not trying to teach, preach or convince. All we are saying is, if this makes sense to you, try it out. The truth or otherwise will be self evident. Truth based on self experience stands on its own and does not need the support of a thousand words. While we welcome questions, doubts, feedback and requests for clarifications, we have no interest to enter into an intellectual debate with those who are not willing to try it out.
we make no claims that this path is the only exclusive way to achieve the goals that we are talking about. There are millions of paths to the same goal of health, well-being and liberation. All we are saying is that this is one of the paths that we have tried for ourselves. We invite you to walk with us for a while and see to if it suits you or not. If yes, welcome! While there are certain basic principles that apply to all humanity, most of what we say are flexible guidelines that need to be applied in our lives, modified in such a way that it suits our individual, unique selves. Each one of us a different pot moulded from the same clay, therefore what we are saying needs to be tailored by each individual person for himself or herself. We don't ask you to blindly follow- but to experiment, observe the results and consequences, both internal and external, and then make the necessary changes.
